I’m sure everybody can remember where they were or what they were doing when Usher’s "Confessions” Album came out. It was 2004 and I was a sophomore in college still trying to figure out who I was. I use to walk around McNeese Campus with my headphones in my ears contemplating my next move. Every song on that album jam and was relatable. It’s one of my all time favorite R&B albums. Usher was really transparent with himself when he did this album and he sang the mess outta every song.

So, I happen to I love BJ The Chicago Kid, so when I got wind that he was doing a tribute to Usher’s Confessions by singing a couple of the songs off the album, I was geeked up! BJ did a fantastic job! He didn’t try to sing like Usher. He did his BJ thang and killed it! I'm usually not a fan of artist “redoing” classics, but this time it definitely worked in his favor. BJ bought the fire and smoked it!!!
